When you have a strong message to deliver in a short amount of time, kindness, not niceness, is key. Being nice is an accomplice to maintaining the status quo, whereas kindness is an accomplice of shaking things up. As an external consultant and speaker I see it as my duty to speak into reality as a source of inspiration. This means working with your team to understand the shift the organization wants to make and where and how it needs to do better.
